Dolphin SMART Program Partners hold first training workshop for local dolphin tour operators in Key West.
The first official training workshop to launch the Dolphin SMART program in the Florida Keys was held at the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary’s Eco Discovery center on Wednesday, February 21st. The workshop was held to present the requirements of the program to operators interested in participating, as well as providing training on regulatory laws and policies, responsible viewing and advertising, and overview of dolphin field research that is being conducted through the Dolphin SMART program. Operators interested in participating in the program will have another opportunity to be trained at a second training workshop to be held in May. For more details, contact Courtney
