WDCS (NA) seeks intern to help in its efforts
WDCS in North America is seeking individuals who are interested in and qualify to become interns in helping WDCS in its efforts. This is a great opportunity to learn special skills and help save whales and dolphins!
Role: Administration Volunteer
Description:
To help in the administration office with data inputting, mailings, telephone answering and general office duties and generally provide support.
Skills:
Good communication skills
IT skills especially in Microsoft Office applications
Good organizational skills
Role: Mystery Shopper
To help in the gathering of data on the whale watch experience from ports in Massachusetts and Southern New England. This is a joint initiative with the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary and a number of MA based commercial whale watch operations. Some expenses will be covered.
Requirements:
Good communication skills in providing feedback.
Must be reliable and attentive.
Boat experience and not prone to sea sickness or similar.
Prepared to go whale watch during May through September once a week at various ports throughout New England
Can handle disappointment in the event a trip may be cancelled
Good organizational skills
