Standby
Assist Vessels for Entangled Whales
One of the largest threats to endangered and protected whales
in US waters is entanglement in fishing gear. In recognition
of this, WAP recognized the need for dedicated standby vessels
and developed the SAVE Whales project.

Project WET - Water Education for Teachers
WDCS is supporting
Project WET (Water Education for Teachers) in the States and, in 2006, will be
involved in the development of a new ‘Kids in Discovery’ activity booklet on
marine mammals.
