Shia Su’s ‘Zero Waste’ book giveaway

This World Whale Day we’ve joined forces with Shia Su, of waste-free blog Wasteland Rebel, to help our supporters become more plastic-free. By making small changes and choices we can help protect whales and dolphins from the threat of plastic pollution.

We’re giving away two signed copies of her ground-breaking book ‘Zero Waste: Simple Life Hacks to Drastically Reduce Your Trash’. From the way we shop to washing our hair, Shia provides simple yet effective tips on how we can reduce our waste and protect the planet.

If you’d like to be in with the chance of winning, simply fill in this form and join our plastic-busting community by subscribing to our #NotWhaleFood updates. By doing so, you’ll be kept up to date with our work tackling ocean plastics and ways that you can get involved. Don’t worry if you’ve already subscribed, just fill in the form and you’ll automatically be entered.

Our giveaway will be running between 16th February and 15th March 2019.

Why be more waste-free?

More than ever we’re becoming aware of how our habits impact the planet. Each plastic bottle, coffee cup or crisp packet we use could end up polluting the environment. If plastic pollution gets into the waterways, it’s likely to end up in the oceans. Once there, plastic may be swallowed by marine life such as whales and dolphins, and this can kill them.

The best way to prevent plastic from getting into our oceans is to reduce single use and avoidable plastic in the first place.

That’s why we’ve teamed up with Shia to raise awareness about our #NotWhaleFood project and the issue of plastic pollution. Shia provides lots of simple, effective and doable tips in her book (and in her blog) on how to reduce waste. Shia’s trash for a whole year managed to fit in one quart jar!
