New Zealand Dolphin and Plastic Pollution

WDC-Plastics-scene-v4-02

As your pupils look back on their big day out at Twickenham, WDC's education packs will help them learn more about two very topical issues:

  • Current global campaigns to save New Zealand dolphins from extinction and
  • the urgent issue of plastic pollution in the oceans.

WDC's comprehensive teaching resources will encourage pupils to learn more about the oceans and help them to form their own opinions on environmental issues affecting the oceans and saving endangered species.

The activities can be adapted to suit KS2 or KS3 pupils and are designed to use and improve a wide range of skills.  Activities are linked to the National Curriculum,  including English Language, Science, Art and Design, IT, Geography and Science.

In addition, WDC is delighted to offer a LIMITED NUMBER of FREE downloads of the award-winning film 'Plastic is Forever' by teenage film-maker Dylan d'Haeze.
